Day 102: Baking at Home - Gail, Kaila, Kaya, Karisma and Kirana showed Auntie Sarah the basics of baking holiday cookies. I think this may be a hobby I can get into :)
Day 101: Traditions - In addition to Gail and Vic’s annual staycation and the madness that is Black Friday, Geoff and I have been attending Macy’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. Sipping on some beer and wine in the frosty downtown weather is the perfect way to wait for the tree to be lit up. Christmas season has office begun!
Day 100: Happy Thanksgiving! - Lots to be thankful for in 2011 :) Wonderful meal prepared by Lopez’s and Gonzalez’s. Maybe next year in the kitchen. Lol. Happy Turkey Day everyone!
Day 099: Pre-Thanksgiving Festivities - Thank you to the Conan-Arenzana’s for coming out with me and Geoff to 21st Amendment for pizza, beer and wine. It was great catching up with good friends to kick off a weekend of thanksgiving.
Day 098: San Francisco Skyline - Every year around the holidays, the buildings in the Embarcadero Center light up light wrapped Christmas presents. I love seeing the outline of the building all lit up. Downtown is such a great sight!
Day 097: Starry Starry Night - Walking around Union Square and acting like kids in front of the Macy’s holiday display.
Day 096: Somewhere over the rainbow … - After a weekend full of packing, moving and heavy lifting, a rainbow appeared in the midst of light showers over Daly City. I was surprised with how excited I got when i saw the rainbow! It’s been a while.
Day 095: Moving on a Budget - Who knew renting trucks was so expensive? I found a good deal with a small storage company in San Francisco that was renting out Budget trucks for $19.95 per day and $0.79 for each mile. Pretty good deal, considering the truck made several trips.
Day 094: United Nations Day - Our German friend Alex whom Geoff and I met touring soccer stadiums in Brazil came to town for a couple of days. Too bad he’s going to miss the Macy’s tree lighting ceremony this week so he only took a picture of an unlit tree in Union Square. We took him out to dinner at Cheesecake Factory and then out to drinks around the area. I admire adventure seekers like Alex who can discover a new city on his own!
Day 093: Another day, another protest - Protestors once again lobbied in front of my building lobby. First it was Occupy SF, now it’s FBI discrimination. I wonder what the next group will be.
